Adding a Custom Screen Off Command

Before we add our custom command on Google assistant, go to the Assistant tab and click on the phone option under assistant devices and make sure Access with voice match is turned ON

 
Now go back to Assistant’s Settings menu, select Routines, and click on the add a routine button and select add commands and enter the new custom command,
 

 

Enter commands such as:

  • Lock my phone
  • Lock screen
  • Go to sleep

Any statement will do, and you can add as many variations as you like. These are personal commands, not ones native to Google Assistant.

  • I’m entering “Lock My phone” as my custom command in the box, then click on the Add action button and type Screen Off and Lock under the Enter command box, after these two changes, click on the Save button
