Everyone knows a few months ago WhatsApp released the animated stickers, those stickers that move while you are chatting with all your friends or family. but what if you want to send your own Custom Animated WhatsApp Stickers to your friends?

Yes, now you can customize your own Whatsapp sticker by following very simple steps, These steps may be a bit tedious, but they are mostly simple. If you want to create your own Whatsapp Sticker, then use this tutorial, which we explained in detail below.

Send a Sticker from another WhatsApp account
Create or make a new GIF image

Send a Sticker from another WhatsApp account :

The first part includes a second Whatsapp account, use either your friend or family Whatsapp account
Send any sticker from the second Whatsapp account to your Whatsapp
The sticker can either be static or animated, it doesn’t matter, as long as it is of good quality
Note down the location where the sticker is saved, we might use the location in the later part of the tutorial(internal storage -> Whatsapp folder -> media -> Whatsapp stickers)

Create or Make a new GIF image :

The first thing you need to have is a GIF image, you can either create a new image from video using any tool available online, but i’m going to use the existing GIF image.

Go to giphy.com, this website contains the most creative and artistic GIFs, you go ahead and download any one GIF image.
There you will see a lot of option available for you, go ahead and choose whatever option you want and click on download to download the image

Convert GIF to WEBP format :

After the GIF is downloaded it has to be converted to WEBP format
To be a sticker it must be WEBP format
so go to the website EZGIF where you will have to upload the GIF file to convert it into WebP format.

Select Webp Icon and chose the GIF file and click on upload
Before converting your GIF to WebP format, you must resize it in resize and place the measures 512 x 512

After adjusting the size, you press convert and save the newly created webp sticker

Note: One of the important steps in this process is the final Sticker size should not more than 100kb, or else this method will not work.

So if the final webp sticker is more than 100kb, click on the cut option to cut some frames, in such a way that it will not affect the animation.

Map our Custom Sticker to WhatsApp :

Now go to internal storage -> whatsapp folder -> media -> whatsapp stickers

Try to locate the sticker which was sent from the second Whatsapp account
Copy the name of that sticker (sent from the second Whatsapp account)

Go to Internal Storage -> Download
Select the custom made sticker which we downloaded, click the rename option, and paste the copied sticker name.

Copy this sticker file and go to internal storage -> Whatsapp folder -> media -> Whatsapp stickers and click on paste
Click the overwrite option to paste our custom sticker to the Whatsapp folder
