SITEMAP :(SM)
A Sitemap is an XML file that consist of your individual webpage’s URLs. It’s like a directory, which contains every webpage in your website. This file should be easily discoverable in your website in order for search engine crawlers to pick it, basically it serves as an index of your website.
Now the question is how to add sitemap to your blogger and increase the SEO ranking, it is very simple ,
1 – Go to your blog
2 – Type /sitemap.xml after your domain name,
for eg, if your domain name is abc.com type abc.com/sitemap
3 – Now your sitemap content will be displayed on this page
4 – Then copy the Sitemap URL, eg,abc.com/sitemap.xml
5 – Go to Google search console
6 – Go to Sitemap Tab
7 – Paste the URL you copied
8 – Click Submit
That’s all your sitemap has been successfully added for your blogger, so that it serves as index for your website, which helps google to to fetch your website very easily.
ROBOTS.TXT :(RB)
Robot.txt file also known as the robots exclusion protocol or standard, of your website tells search engine which page or file the google crawlers can or can’t request from your website, and one more advantage of using this is to avoid over loading of webpages in your site
Below are the Steps on how to add robots.txt to your blogger in order to increase the SEO ranking of your blogger,
1 – Go to your Blog
2 – Go to setting page
3 – Click on Search preference
4 – Select custom robots.txt under crawler and indexing
5 – Click edit
6 – Now add the sitemap of your blog obtained by SM technique.
